What is this mod in summary?
A focused upgrade designed to give you a better experience when playing the game for the first time. It fixes many issues and looks modern.
Does it work with Enhanced Edition?
It is made for the 2007 Shadow of Chernobyl (v1.0006). This version retains the original creators’ vision and PC-specific mechanics, such as charging a grenade throw with right-click. If you own EE, you already have this.
Will it run on GTX 1050 Ti, GTX 1060, etc.?
Yes, it will run on medium settings. The game is primarily CPU-bound.
Does it change the game?
Yes. It adds lore friendly quality-of-life improvements, similar to the ZRP mod it is based on. Weapons can be repaired (a feature from the later games but not in SoC), night vision is made useful, and some cut content has been restored so you can experience more of what was originally planned. All changes were made with care for the source material.
I've heard it makes the game easy?
No. Complete 1.5 plays differently. NPCs are smarter, have better vision, and react faster. Weapons use real-world stats, so your bullets connect more often, but it goes both ways. Mutants are a real threat. Claims that the mod is too easy are outdated or simply false.
Where is the content coming from?
The mod combines original work, community contributions, and select assets from across the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. All sources are documented, and prominent authors are honored through in-game props as easter eggs.
